Your donation truly changes lives.

The recently published Greenwich United Way Needs Assessment states that the top four greatest gaps in our community as judged by both residents and service providers are:

  1. mental illness counseling and support
  2. substance abuse prevention/education
  3. emotional/behavioral problems
  4. mental health counseling.

The top three concerns our clients bring to counseling remain anxiety, depression, and divorce. A growing need is substance abuse recovery.

We could not do this important work without you. Thank you for giving today!

The Scholarship Hope Bank is a donation pool dedicated to providing counseling scholarships. Any client who mentions a scholarship need is carefully vetted and receives a matching scholarship based on their level of need.

Your gift will provide scholarships to clients and help access:

  • excellent individual, couple or family counseling
  • support groups
  • 11 experienced, caring therapists

The Junior Board of Greenwich Center for Hope and Renewal is working on a new initiative to increase awareness on the importance of mental health through video stories. Despite greater efforts nationwide to address health through nutrition and exercise, mental health and wellness is an area vital to health that is largely overlooked. By sharing these human stories, the goal is to 1) decrease the stigma around seeking counseling and 2) increase an appreciation of the benefits of addressing mental health for every life.

Create a fundraiser to help fund this project.

Some fundraising ideas:

  • run a marathon
  • wear green all month (the color for mental health awareness)
  • walk 20,000 steps a day for 30 days
  • hold a dance-off

Whatever it is, have fun with it! Every gift counts!
