Liz Decker

Liz Decker is well known across Fairfield County for her work supporting families, individuals, and couples who are navigating life’s many transitions. Through her work at a community-based agency, she worked with diverse populations, including adults, families, couples, and adolescents.  As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Liz counsels and collaborates with clients to help them adjust to a new life stage or changing dynamics in relationships, and has a heartfelt connection for families struggling with miscarriage, stillbirth, and postpartum anxiety and depression.  She is certified from prominent institutes, including Seleni Institute, Post Partum Support International, and Post Partum Stress Center.  Furthermore, she is a facilitator for Prepare and Enrich and Positive Discipline.  Liz has great passion for helping parents join and work collectively with their children to increase cooperation and harmony.  She is also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, supporting couples to identify patterns that are no longer helpful while increasing understanding, empathy, and connection.  Additionally, she has extensive experience assisting those facing difficulties in the workplace and/or career transitions, and is a certified professional coach.  Having spent 10 years with a Fortune 100 company, she provided leadership training and executive coaching and development.  Liz holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and a Masters in Human Resources from Fordham University.
