Dear Friends of GCHR,

As the new Executive Director of the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal, I would like to introduce myself and share how grateful I am to be called to serve the Center at this unique moment in time.

As we are all aware, Covid-19 has upended our way of lief and the mental health needs it has created are far surpassing what anyone could have anticipated. Americans are reporting an increase in the intensity and duration of feelings of depression and anxiety that is quickly outpacing historical norms. Additionally, feelings of grief, isolation, and fear for the future are not part of the everyday reality for many. As we head into the holiday season when gathering with family and friends will be more difficult, the services GCHR provides will be more vital than ever.

In response to Covid-19, GCHR immediately made Telecounseling available to all clients, and, thanks to the generosity of donors like you, GCHR raised more than $70,000 for the HOPE BANK, which has already proved financial assistance to many clients. Looking to the year ahead, GCHR is preparing to expand our Telecounseling in an effort to make therapy available to more people, and our therapists will continue to develop innovative content in the form of articles, and online classes and workshops, that speak to the real-time needs of our community.

Even with all of life’s present challenges, at GCHR we remain confident of the healing and hope we can provide. We believe that our efforts to journey alongside our clients and community as we navigate Covid-19 and its aftermath will yield bountiful results in the lives of many. We believe that we can all come out on the other side of this pandemic more connected and more resilient than we were before.

In order to continue this important work, we need your financial help, today more than ever. Please consider giving as generously as you are able, knowing that your partnership with us makes it possible for others to receive the hope for healing and renewal that each life desersves.

Gratefully,

Erin Keys
Executive Director
