Liz Decker is known across Fairfield County for her work supporting families, individuals, and couples who are navigating life’s many transitions. Through her work at a community-based agency, she worked with diverse populations, including adults, families, and adolescents.
Liz counsels and collaborates with clients to help them adjust to a new life stage or changing dynamics in relationships, and has a heartfelt connection for families struggling with miscarriage, stillbirth, and postpartum anxiety and depression. She holds certifications from the Seleni Institute, Postpartum Support International, and Postpartum Stress Center.
Liz is a facilitator for Prepare and Enrich premarital counseling and Positive Discipline for parents. Liz has a passion to help parents learn to work collectively with their children to increase cooperation and harmony. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, supporting couples to identify patterns that are no longer helpful while increasing understanding, empathy, and connection. Additionally, she has extensive experience assisting those facing difficulties int he workplace and/or career transitions, and is a certified professional coach. Having spent 10 years with a Fortune 100 company, she provided leadership training and executive coaching and development. Liz holds a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and a masters in Human Resources from Fordham University.
