Stephen Gilbert

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST

Stephen Gilbert is a leading professional in strengthening marriages and families, developing teens, guiding men, and leading individuals out of addiction. A gifted communicator, Stephen has taught and conducted seminars for organizations and churches on topics such as personal transformation, parenting, anger management, and healthy marriages. He has led a countywide support group for pastors and currently co-leads men’s retreats.

Prior to working at Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal, Stephen was Director of the Southern Connecticut Christian Counseling Center in Fairfield, CT, where he worked alongside local churches providing quality mental health care that is integrative to Christian faith and spirituality. Before entering the field of counseling, Stephen spent 14 years on staff with the youth ministry, Young Life, where he was the Regional Director for Connecticut and Long Island.

Stephen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an ordained minister. He holds a B.S. from Ohio State University and both an M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Stephen is also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.
